The Hitchhiker

You're on the highway and in a hurry, as the weather forecast predicts heavy snowfall and you want to get home before it starts. As you're about to get back on the highway after a quick fuel stop at a rest area, you see a heavily bundled-up hitchhiker with a large backpack standing at the on-ramp. You don't usually pick up hitchhikers, but it's just starting to rain and the wind is getting stronger. Out of pity, you stop and roll down the window.
