Age Verification

We use an external provider (AgeVerif) for age verification to ensure that only adults have access to our service. This page explains how the process works and what data is used.

Why Age Verification?

In the EU (but not in Switzerland) we are legally required to perform age verification to protect minors. This is a necessary measure to ensure that only people aged 18 and over have access to our service.

How Does Age Verification Work?

We use an external provider for age verification and do not perform it ourselves. The process takes 2 minutes and has four steps:

You click on the button 'Verify age via video selfie' in the User Management
You will be redirected to the provider.
At the provider, you take a short video selfie and it verifies your age. No human is involved. The image is not stored with us or with the provider, but only on your device.
You will be redirected back to us, your age is verified and you can continue to use the site normally.

No Camera on Your Computer?

If you don't have a camera on your computer, you can use AgeVerif. You'll get a QR code there that you can scan with your smartphone to complete the verification.

Data Privacy - What We See

We receive no personal data from you. The verification process only informs us whether you are an adult or not. We see no photo, no personal information, or other details. Only a verification status (adult/not adult) is transmitted to us.

Provider Privacy

The external provider AgeVerif does not store any information about you. After completing the verification, no data is permanently stored. The verification is done once and is only saved as a status in your account so you don't have to repeat the process.
